The Pignolo was aged in oak barrels for 24 months, then decanted into stainless steel vats for another 12 months of aging, and then it was further refined with one more year in the bottle. The color is a beautiful garnet red with a powerful impact on the nose full of berries, leather and some spicy flavors. This wine is powerful and refined with a nice tannic richness, long and tasty. Pair this wine with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
