The 2010 Vin Santo Villa Pillo is made of Trebbiano Tuscana. They select the best grapes and leave them to dry for 5 months to maximize sugar content, the grapes are then pressed and the must is left to rest for 24 hours. Then they put them into the small barrel and left them to mature for 4 years. The barrels are stored in a cave, where the alternation of seasons ages the wine to perfection. The resulting wine is sweet, showing aromas of slightly oxidized. This lovely 2010 Vin santo s a great vintage for most Italian wines, especially in Tuscany! Enjoy this fabulous Vinsanto with biscotti or your favorite dolce.
