2015 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a selection, deriving from the best Sangiovese grapes, carefully selected in the vineyard in order to allow La Fortuna to create high-quality. A powerfully structured wine with a high concentration, intense color tending to deep red, an intense fragrance with a dry, harmonious, tannic and persistent taste. Pairs well with a variety of foods such as veal or lamb, bolognese, matured cheese.
The 2015 vintage is a historical year for Brunello di Montalcino that shouldn't be missed. These wines show impressive precision of bright fruits, luscious tannins and freshness despite their ripeness and richness which makes them some of the most exciting in a long time. Vineyards in Montalcino were never better prepared to produce outstanding wines in a year like 2015 with their exactness in their vineyards. Most wine producers in Montalcino made very excellent wines in 2015. Lots of blue fruit with black-cherry and black-truffle aromas that follow through to a full body with round and velvety tannins and lots of ripe fruit and creamy undertones. The tannins just melt into the wine. Drink in 2022 but already so delicious. James Suckling: 95 Points This is round and full of sweet, ripe cherry, strawberry, graphite, and earth flavors. Firms up as the finish play out, echoing the essence of the fruit. Wine Spectator: 94 Points
