The winery’s flagship wine, Papà Celso is dedicated to the memory of
Celso Abbona, father of Marziano, who planted every vine in the Doriolo
vineyard. The grapes are grown on
vines over 60 years old that give the wine a pleasant balance between
elegance, power, and harmony. The color is ruby red, with lively reflections verging on purple. The winy and juicy nose has aromas of red and black fruits, mint, and forest. this is a
fresh, balanced and harmonious wine. Rich and well-structured, the dry palate is pleasant, bitterish, full-bodied and slightly almond scented. The light acidity and subtle
tannins have hints of pulpy fruit, generating a smooth and pleasant taste. This elegant Dogliani can develop in the bottle for many
years. Pairs well with first pasta dishes with ragù sauce, white meat,
and medium-aged cheeses.
