Bricco Barone is a lovely zone on the hills of Monforte d’Alba. The Nebbiolo d’Alba produced from this soil is medium-bodied, robust, balanced and elegant, and has an intense ruby red color with some yellow-crowned reflexes. The bouquet is soft but rich with floral and fruity aromas of red currants,
blueberry, strawberries, jam and violet, in addition to some spices,
cinnamon, black pepper, tobacco, and a touch of smoke from
its 12 months of aging in oak barrels, followed by 4 months in bottle. With balanced freshness, the palate is warm, soft, velvety and rich of tannins, and confirms the delicate spicy notes and fruity perfumes. With a great
longevity, this fantastic Nebbiolo is ready to drink now, but can have a beautiful evolution after resting for even 5 years in your cellar. It accompanies perfectly first courses, red meats, and medium-seasoned cheeses.
