Shirin is an Ancient Persian word meaning sweet. This sweet wine is made from late-harvested Montepulciano grapes which spends one year in used barrique and another six months in bottle before its release. Deep ruby red color, this wine is very limpid and full-bodied. At the olfactory evaluation it appears intense, persistent. The bouquet shows a fragrance of red fruits (cherry and berries) as typical of Montepulciano grapes, spicy of cloves and liquorice. This 17 years old red Passito is full, round and the tannins are warm and well balanced. Enjoy this wonderful Passito.
