L'Insieme is a group founded in 1977 by eight small producers in the Langhe, where each company creates its own Insieme wine. A blend of wines where components are up to the producer, traditional grapes such as Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto, and varieties imported recently like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. L’insieme is a project where, for every bottle produced, a percentage is donated to a charity that finances various development initiatives around the world. The blend is 40% Nebbiolo, 20% Barbera, and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is bottled unfiltered, with approximately 3,000 bottles produced. A gorgeous wine, with terrific levels of perfume and intensity. Aged for 18 months in new French oak, and 8 months in the bottle before release. This wine has an intense garnet color that recalls red fruit wrapped in spices and compact flavors. Pairs perfectly with red meats and any roast and strong cheeses.
