Merlot at Villa Pillo is grown in three principle vineyard sites; Sant Adele, Meliana and San Michele with a selection of the best wine being bottled under the Sant Adele label. In the class the wine is a deep burgundy red. On the nose hints of black berries, chocolate and oak.
The palate exhibits flavors of ripe dark fruits such as plum, blueberry and cherry are further broadened by aging in small barrels for 12-15 months in the Villa Pillo Cellar. We recommend this wine with all roast/grilled meats or pasta.
