Blauburgunder Riserva (Pinot Nero) 2004 has won the award of Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso for 6 consecutive years. The Muri Gries monastery has been producing wine since the early 15th century, making it one of the oldest wineries in the country. Cellarman Christian Werth took charge in 1988 and is still passionate about his job after more than two decades. The fruit of all his hard work is wines that are increasingly well defined with the Pinot Nero Riserva or Lagrein Riserva  becoming a classic of its type, and a truly impeccable range of wines.
This great wine has  strong ruby red color with taste of ripe fruits, cherry, plum, jam, spice, walnut, and integrated wood aromas. The elegant structure, soft and warm tannins present themselves as delicate, minerals and balance.
