The Montepulciano d ́Abruzzo Harimann is obtained by crushing Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes produced in old vineyards that yield about 80 quintals per hectare. Grapes are hand-harvested during the first week of November. Grapes are crushed and soaked for a period of about 25/30 days in stainless steel vats and after short storage, the wine ages for about 24 months in oak barriques.
In the glass, the wine is a deep ruby red color. The nose is elegant and complex with notes of ripe red fruits, cherries, plums, berries, and black cherries, accompanied by hints of violet and dried red flowers. The palate is warm, soft, and deep with flavors of red berries, chocolate, plums, leather, tobacco that intertwine with toasted and spicy touches on a full-bodied, balanced by evolved sweet tannins and good acidity into a long and persistent finish.
Harimann represents the evolution of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and can be aged for up to 20 years.
It will pair well with Grilled Red Meats, Wild Game, or just having a great glass of awsome wine, even with chocolate or a good Cigar.
