The Carteria vineyard covers an area of 3 hectares in the Valgella sub-zone at 500 meters. The name stems from the name of a small hamlet of the commune of Teglio, where the Fay family has always owned some plot of land. The winery has started incorporating this land into its estate and replanting the vines in progress. This nebbiolo goes through fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks with maceration for 6 days. Afterwards it goes through malolactic fermentation and then aging for 12 months in barriques. An Ethereal expression of the Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) grape with hints of licorice, dark berries and dried ginger on the nose. On the palate it shows great depth and complexity with juicy fresh berry fruit, licorice, cocoa, silky tannins, brisk acidity and a long flavorful finish. Pairs well with Meaty Pasta Dishes, Roasted or Grilled Red Meats as well as Stews and Aged Cheeses
