2014 Tenuta Enza La Fauci Terra di Vento Faro DOC born in the region of Faro, wrought with strong Mistral-like winds that run through the vineyards making the vines strong and the grapes hearty. Terra di Vento is a blend of 60% Nerello Mascalese, 15% Nerello Cappuccio, 15% Nocera and 10% Nero d'Avola. The fresh character of Nerello Mascallese is accompanied by the structure and tannins of the Nerello Cappuccio and the dark fruit and earthy tones of the Nocera and Nero d'Avola. It spends 10 months in barriques and an additional 3 months in bottle. A soft supple nose of red berry fruit, black cherries, with faint hints of tobacco leaf. Rich velvety palate with hints of dark fruit balanced by soft ripe tannins and a smooth persistent finish. This Wine will pair well with Red Meats, Roasts, Wild Game such as Venison or Wild Boar, Heavier Triple Cream Cheeses, Blue Cheeses, Polenta/ Pasta With Meat Ragu
