2015 is the best vintage for this Carema! Made of 100% Nebbiolo, this wine is aged for two years in the barrel and one year in the bottle before it is released. The color is ruby red, with medium persistence and garnet highlights. A medium-bodied dry red wine with good acidity, it showcase beautiful Nebbiolo characteristics, with aromas of rose, dark berries, fruit in alcohol, and coffee, and spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is soft, with good tannins and acidity complemented by the sweet notes coming from aging in wood. It has an intense aftertaste with spicy notes in the finish, and will have further refinement as it ages (10 years or more). This is a beautifully elegant wine that can be paired with almost anything, salumi and hard cheeses, starters and first courses such as ravioli or risotto, polenta, grilled chicken, or even Bacala( dry Cod fish) with vegetable.
