Tenuta Della Ioria vineyards
are located in the land of Ciociaria, south of Rome. This dry red
wine lets us rediscover Cesanese di Affile, a
rare red grape variety, the only native variety of Lazio DOCG. Aged in big wooden barrels, this phenomenal
wine is dark ruby in color with hints of small red fruits, juniper, and forest
musk, followed by delicate violet aromas.
On the
palate it is medium-bodied and fresh with a very smooth texture, and a subtle
savory character. It has
distinct flavors of cherry, red currant, and vanilla with an
earthy undertone.
Pair with red pasta such as Amatriciana or
roasted meat.
