The south-facing vineyard called Il Glicine extends over 1 hectare in Sasella at the altitude of 470 meters, in the municipality of Sondrio. This vineyard is composed of sandy soil and loam. "Glicine" is the Italian word for wisteria, as this colorful plant clings to the rocky crags that dominate the entire plot. This terrific Nebbiolo goes through fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks with maceration for 6 days. Afterward, it goes through malolactic fermentation and then aging for 12 months in barriques. It expresses elegance, balance, and complexity in a spicy bouquet of small red fruits, violets, and balsamic herbs. The sip is large and very balanced, with dense and lively tannins on the long finish.
