2017 Villa Guelpa Longitudine 8-11 Nebbiolo Rose is made from 100%
Nebbiolo grapes, which are grown at the foothills of the Alps on sandy marine
deposit and mineral rich soils, in the high altitude vineyards of the tiny
Lessona DOC, in North Western Piemonte.
In the glass the wine is a vibrant ruby pink color. The nose is rich with fresh
aromas of cherries, wild berries and a hint of roses. On the palate, this
terrific wine is young yet complex showing bright juicy flavors of raspberries,
dark cherries, balanced by a subtle underlying mineral tone, soft tannins,
bright acidity, and a lingering finish.
This wine can be a perfect summer aperitif, and will pair well with young
cheeses, white fish, and salads. "Fruity and floral, this fresh, juicy red offers aromas of wild berries,
fragrant blue flowers and crushed herbs with a whiff of forest floor.
Showing Nebbiolo's playful, charming side, it's bright and delicious,
doling out succulent Marasca cherry, crushed raspberry, orange zest and
baking spice alongside tangy acidity and supple tannins. It's made to be
enjoyed young, so drink over the next few years. " 91 points WE
