Casa d'Ambra
is one of the great wine estates of Italy and represents a gem of viticulture found
on the tiny island of Ischia off the coast of Naples. These
vineyards are
located on the volcanic cliffs of the island that rise up to a dramatic 600
meters above sea level. The scenery is absolutely stunning with trellised vines
overlooking an azure seascape.
The 2019 Casa D Ambra
Frassitelli
is an absolutely exceptional expression of Biancolella.
These
grapes are grown
in a four-hectare vineyard on a steep cliff overlooking the Mediterranean at
600 meters above sea level: this is "extreme
viticulture”,
given
the hardships of harvesting in these difficult conditions. The wine is
fermented in stainless steel for 8 months.
Frassitelli, from 100% Biancolella grapes, certainly the most celebrated in Ischia and among the most performing in the entire Campania region, is a white wine of great class and elegance. It shows a straw-yellow color with golden reflections.
unique elegance, starting from its straw color with golden reflections. A great wine that seduces the nose with notes of Mediterranean scrub and herbs and exalts the palate.
This wine expresses the unique charm of Ischia and goes perfectly with tasty fish dishes such as linguine with scampi, grilled tuna, and sea bass in salt and can also give great satisfaction with rabbit dishes and medium-aged cheeses.
Pairings: white meats, fish-based first courses, vegetables, seafood and shellfish.
