The Oltrepò Pavese Chardonnay Blanc from the Mazzolino Estate is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Corvino San Quirico, in the province of Pavia. It is produced with 100% Chardonnay grapes, harvested manually in small boxes once the right degree of ripeness has been reached. Fermentation takes place in medium toasted French Allier and Tronçais oak barrels. Subsequently the wine remains to refine in wood on the fine lees for about 9 months. The Chardonnay Blanc 2015 from the Mazzolino Estate has a brilliant straw yellow color with light golden nuances. The nose opens with a rich and intense bouqet, with notes of acacia honey, enriched with delicate hints of citrus, vanilla and hazelnuts. On the palate it is dry and velvety, with a pleasant balance and persistence. Perfect to accompany fish and shellfish dishes, this white wine is ideal in combination with white meats and blue cheeses.
