Located in Montenero, in
Southern Tuscan, where Montalcino converges with neighboring municipalities,
Amantis produces delicious, high-quality, and highly-awarded Sangiovese, which
balance the typical charm of Tuscan tradition with modern influence. This
Brunello is crafted by the award-winning producer Paolo Vagaggini.
On the nose, this full-bodied
red is lush with wild berries,
blue flower, violets, underbrush, oak and a whiff of new leather. On the palate, it is elegantly structured
with crushed raspberry, grilled herb, licorice, pipe tobacco, baking
spice, dark cherries, and smoke, framed in
firm, fine-grained tannins. A perfect bottle to age
in your wine cellar but terrific to drink now, you can pair it with lamb, venison, veal, beef, assorted
salumi, lasagna bolognese, and meat ragus.
