Description

Located in Montenero, in Southern Tuscan, where Montalcino converges with neighboring municipalities, Amantis produces delicious, high-quality, and highly-awarded Sangiovese, which balance the typical charm of Tuscan tradition with modern influence. This Brunello is crafted by the award-winning producer Paolo Vagaggini.

On the nose, this full-bodied red is lush with wild berries, blue flower, violets, underbrush, oak and a whiff of new leather. On the palate, it is elegantly structured with crushed raspberry, grilled herb, licorice, pipe tobacco, baking spice, dark cherries, and smoke, framed in firm, fine-grained tannins. A perfect bottle to age in your wine cellar but terrific to drink now, you can pair it with lamb, venison, veal, beef, assorted salumi, lasagna bolognese, and meat ragus.

Well worth the splurge, the nose alone is enough to entice all your senses, and tempt you not to wait until it's been properly decanted, as beautiful aromas of violets and wild berries waft through the room. It's a full bodied wonderfully crafted elegant wine with a very complex palate of ripe wild berries, black cherries, spices, velvety smooth tannins and acidity.
