This 100% pure-blooded Sangiovese Grosso from Monte Cucco is made by well-known wine-maker and owner Paolo Vagaggini in who is considered to be one of the world's experts on Sangiovese and has been named as one of the top ten oenologists in Italy! 2010 Sangiovese Riserva is aged in French and Slovenian oak barrels, for three years, with long maceration on the skins, which increase the excellent characteristics of this fabulous wine. The color is an intense ruby red with a delicate fruity fragrance, like cranberries and dark cherry. Also chocolate and licorice add to a good experience. 2010 Sangiovese Riserva has firm and smooth tannins. The pleasant acidic aftertaste in this layered fabulous wine. It is recommended to let this fabulous wine breathe at least an hour before drinking.
