Founded in 1960
by Franco Pasetti in Francavilla al Mare, along
the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo, the Pasetti family has a
long history in wine production and is recognized as one of the most
prestigious wineries in Abruzzo, producing high quality
wines .
This single-variety montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine is the first line
created by Pasetti and it may be considered, among the other, their
"classic" label. This elegant dry red wine is a representative sample of
the charming production area of Pescosansonesco (Pescara district), in
the heart of Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park.
This is a ruby red wine which smells of blackberry, currant and
blueberry, accompanied by hints of licorice, cinnamon and black pepper.
In the mouth it’s warm with soft and evolved tannins, a right balance,
good structure and persistence. The wine has been aged 1 year in stainless, 8 months in barrel, and a final 6 months in
bottle. A perfect match with lasagna,
rich pastas, red meat, and seasoned cheeses. No matter your menu or guest
list, Montepulciano is a sophisticated yet crowd-pleasing option. The interesting but easygoing
weeknight red, Pasetti is a minerally, elegant choice to impress at your
next party. Buon Appetito!
