The 2013 Torre a Cona Badia a Corte wine is made of 100% Sangiovese, grown on the Famous Torre a Cona Villa Estate in the Colli Fiorentini, on the outskirts of Florence in Italy. Fermented entirely in wood barrels, then aged in oak for 24 months. This wine In the glass it is a deep ruby to garnet red color, the nose is rich with aromas of bright wild berry and ripe cherry fruit along with hints of leather and oak. The palate offers up delightful flavors of fresh picked cherries, blackberry, with subtle nuances of mushrooms, tobacco leaf and underwood balanced by brisk acidity and smooth tannins.
