The Amarone Monte Danieli, the highlight of the Court Rugolin products is obtained from a sixty year old vineyard situated in a little cru in an excellent location. Harvest begins in mid-September and continues for a few months. The grapes spend three months on drying racks before being fermented in vat with the skins for 50 days. After fermentation, the wine is put into barrel for three years to age and then it spends an additional six months in bottle. This 2010 vintage is a beautiful deep crimson color with a strong bouquet of dark fruit, vanilla, cinammon and ripe strawberry velvety tannins with a nice round finish; a beautiful wine to pair with red meat and aged cheeses. Amarone is a concentrated red wine, we recommend opening the bottle 30 minutes before drinking.
